Visitor Health & Safety Requirements
Hunt Developments (UK) Limited is committed to providing a safe, respectful, and well-managed environment for personnel, customers, contractors, and visiting drivers. To maintain a safe site, all visitors are required to follow the guidance below.

1. Site Access and Sign-In

All visitors must report to Reception on arrival and sign in before entering operational areas.
Visitors must follow the instructions of Hunt personnel at all times, including any emergency arrangements.
Hunt Developments operates during the following hours:
08:15 to 17:00 Monday - Thursday
08:15 to 12:45 Friday
Visitors, including audit representatives, will only be admitted during these hours unless specifically agreed in advance.
From time to time, regulatory representatives may attend for audits, including unannounced audits.
Audit visitors must present suitable identification upon arrival and will only be admitted during our normal operating hours.

2. Personal Belongings

Valuable personal belongings should be kept to a minimum. Visitors are asked to keep items on their person or secure them in a locked vehicle or a locker provided on request.

3. Health Requirements

If you become unwell before your visit, please postpone until you are fit to attend. Any easily transferable illness (e.g. colds, stomach bugs, COVID-19-type symptoms) should be declared so that the visit can be rearranged.
Hand sanitising is required on entering any building.
Face coverings may be worn in non-cleanroom areas if preferred. Hunt-issued facemasks must be used when entering cleanrooms.

4. Cleanroom Access

To minimise contamination risks and protect customer confidentiality, visitor access to cleanrooms is discouraged.
Our facilities include high-visibility panels and viewing areas that allow effective audit and inspection without entering controlled zones.
Cleanroom entry is only permitted in exceptional circumstances and must be pre-approved and supervised by senior Hunt personnel.

5. Fire Safety and First Aid

First aid kits are available on site. Any accident must be reported to a member of senior management immediately.
Fire alarms are tested weekly.
In the event of an alarm, all personnel must leave the building immediately using the nearest exit, without collecting belongings or removing cleanroom garments unless instructed otherwise.

6. Conduct and Behaviour

We expect all visitors to help maintain a respectful, professional environment.

Hunt Developments does not tolerate:
-
Sexual harassment or inappropriate behaviour
-
Discriminatory or offensive remarks relating to sex, race, disability, age, religion, or any protected characteristic
-
Threatening, abusive or intimidating behaviour

-
Excessive swearing or offensive language

Anyone who breaches these requirements may be refused entry or asked to leave site.

7. Loading, Unloading and Visiting Driver
Requirements

General Safety
Loading and unloading may take place in the shared car park between Units 15-18. This area becomes a temporary controlled zone whenever a vehicle is being loaded or unloaded.
Visitors and personnel must avoid the loading area and walk around the vehicle at a safe distance.
Palletised deliveries and collections typically occur in the central car park.
Non-palletised deliveries may be directed to Unit 15 or Unit 16 Goods Inwards depending on their intended destination.
Where possible, welfare facilities such as toilets will be made available to visiting drivers.
Unscheduled Deliveries
While pre-booked deliveries are preferred, we will do our best to accommodate unplanned arrivals where staffing levels and operational safety allow.
Requirements for Visiting Drivers
To ensure safe loading and unloading:
Permitted:
-
Drivers may stand near their vehicle at ground level to assist with communication.
-
Drivers must remain on the same side as the forklift operator so clear visual contact can be maintained.
Not Permitted:
-
Standing behind the vehicle, on the blind side, or between parked cars and the trailer.

-
Entering the forklift operating path.

-
Attempting to manually reposition loads.

-
Climbing onto open trailer beds or curtain-siders under any circumstances.
Accessing Trailer Interiors
Our policy is that drivers remain on the ground during loading/unloading.
In rare cases where a specific vehicle design requires internal access (for example, hard-sided or box trailers with fixed steps, built-in ladders, or internal locking bars), access may be allowed only if agreed with Hunt personnel.
If interior access is authorised:
-
Forklift operations will stop
-
The driver must use the vehicle's built-in access equipment
-
The task must be carried out safely and under supervision
Forklift operations will pause immediately if any unsafe behaviour is observed.
These rules comply with HSE expectations for preventing falls and managing safe workplace transport during loading operations.

8. Photography and Electronic Devices
Due to confidentiality obligations, photography, filming, and the use of mobile devices is restricted in operational areas. Visitors must follow the guidance provided by Hunt personnel.

9. Contractors Working on Site
Contractors must provide suitable risk assessments and method statements (RAMS) in advance.
All works must be agreed with Hunt personnel and carried out in accordance with safe working practices. Only suitable and compliant equipment may be used.

10. Environmental Protection
Spill kits are available on site to ensure that any accidental spillages are contained and prevented from entering the drainage system.

11. Non-Compliance
Hunt Developments reserves the right to stop work or refuse site access where these safety requirements are not followed.
These rules are in place to protect everyone on site and ensure that all operational activities can be carried out safely and efficiently.
