Trainee Production Technician - Full-time
​
We have an exciting opportunity to join our manufacturing company based in Midhurst.
As a Trainee Production Technician, you will be joining a highly skilled team who are competent in the final processing of a wide range of critical products, including medical devices, aerospace, automotive, cosmetic, electronic, and general industrial products.
​
Depending on your skills and abilities, processes that you may be trained to perform include, close visual inspection of components for potential defects, ultrasonic cleaning, component assembly, electronic assembly including soldering, printing, product measurement, component testing, and sterile barrier packaging. Duties also include completing batch documentation (written and data entry) and following clean down procedures. These processes are conducted in a range of environments including our state-of-the-art ISO Class 6 and 7 Cleanrooms, which are designed and managed to maintain tight environmental and procedural control over our processes, something which we are highly respected for by our customers and in our industry.

With training and experience, Trainee Production Technicians can advance to become Production Technicians and when opportunities are available, candidates looking for greater responsibility who are able to demonstrating leadership skills, anticipating and overcoming challenges, identify bottlenecks and improve efficiency, build trust, facilitate collaboration, and manage risk can become Senior Production Technicians.
About your working day:

08:15 – 17:00, Monday to Thursday and half day 8:15 - 12:45 on Friday.

10-minute paid rest break at 10:30, and a ½ hour lunch break.

The company is closed for all UK bank holidays plus additional closure over the Christmas period.
Salary / Pay and Benefits:
-
Hourly rate of £11.85, equivalent to an approximate salary of £23,108, with overtime at £16.00 per hour. Having received the required training, and demonstrating adequate experience and competence, Trainee Production Technicians can advance to the Tier 2 Trained Production Technician role with an hourly pay rate of £12.85, equivalent to an approximate salary of £25,058, with overtime at £17.35 per hour. Subject to availability of permanent positions, qualifying agency workers may typically transfer over to becoming Hunt employees at this stage.

Production Technician
Production Administrator - Full-time

We have an exciting opportunity to join our manufacturing company based in Midhurst.
As a Production Administrator, you will be an integral part of our business, ensuring smooth and efficient operations across the company. You will join a dedicated and professional team in an innovative and creative environment where new products and processes are constantly being developed. Your role will be crucial in maintaining our production systems, promoting quality, and driving continual improvement within the company. We work with a diverse range of industries, including medical devices, cosmetics, aerospace, and automotive.
Key Responsibilities:

Collaborate closely with the management team to plan production based on customer order forecasts and maintain production schedules to ensure timely delivery.

Raise production work orders in alignment with customer orders and maintain accurate records of production activities, including work orders, inventory usage, and quality control documentation.

Update inventory levels, ensuring materials and components are available for production as required.

Perform general administrative duties, including welcoming customers and suppliers, and facilitating effective communication with both.

Act as a point of contact for customers regarding production schedules, order status, and specific requirements or changes.
-
Facilitate the induction process for new personnel, ensuring all documentation is completed.

Facilitate daily production meetings with key personnel, ensuring compliance with our Quality Management System, ISO 9001, and ISO 13485 standards.

Produce service and customer-specific quotations by understanding the full scope of our manufacturing processes, costs, and customer requirements.

Support the management team in performing cost analysis and margin calculations for new and existing processes.

Participate in continuous improvement initiatives, identifying areas where production efficiency and quality can be enhanced.

Assist in documenting standard operating procedures (SOPs) for production processes, ensuring clarity and consistency across the team.
